I add "flavor" oils to the balm to give it some fragrance but I DON'T add a sweetener to make it taste sweet (if you are anything like me...I tend to lick the sweetened stuff off my lips like I'm a starving girl in the middle of the desert, and I just end up with lips that are MORE chapped than what I started with).
